ESTIMATE/WORKORDER

STEP 1

We will start with a thorough assessment of your vehicle’s damage. We then process this information through our software which will ensure the most accurate estimate possible. After creating an estimate, we can then order the required parts and begin performing the necessary repairs. If your vehicle is not road-ready, we can help you acquire a rental vehicle.

INSURANCE APPROVAL

STEP 2

With the estimate now created, we send it to your insurance company for review. We may undergo negotiation about the price, procedures and parts used for your auto repair.  In some cases, your insurance company may classify the damage to your vehicle as a total loss. If your vehicle is repairable, we will begin the process immediately.

DISASSEMBLY/INSPECTION

STEP 3

Next we will carefully disassemble your vehicle and document anything  we see. Sometimes disassembly reveals hidden damage that will need to be added to the estimate. If this is the case, we will quickly schedule an insurance re-inspection and order additional auto parts.

ORDER/RECIEVE PARTS

STEP 4

Assessing and ordering the correct part(s) is a very important step in the repair process.  Accuracy, Quality and Efficiency is what we aim for.  Once we locate, order and receive all of the structural and mechanical parts, we will continue the repair process.

The vehicle is carefully prepped to insure paintable surfaces provide proper adhesion and a smooth finish. Parts are sanded then primer is applied, now the color or base coat is applied, followed by a clear coat to protect the finish. REASSEMBLY

STEP 7

All repairs and painting have been completed the vehicle is now ready to be reassembled. Any electrical wiring, hoses, airbag system components or other components that were disconnected to facilitate repairs, are now restored to their original location. Trim and moldings are reinstalled. A test drive will be done at this point to insure windows doors, locks and electrical parts function correctly.

CLEAN/DETAILING

STEP 8

Once everything has been reinstalled in the correct place the car now gets a wash and thorough interior cleaning. The body paint is polished, surfaces cleaned and buffed.  In addition to a visual inspection, it’s important to also test drive to note any driving characteristics that may be associated with the repaired portions of the car. WHAT TO DO AFTER A CAR ACCIDENT

NEW YORK STATE

STAY CALM & NOTIFY POLICE

The law requires that the driver of any vehicle involved in an accident stop at the scene. Do not move the cars unless their position causes a dangerous condition.

HELP

If there are injured people you must immediately call for an ambulance. Dialing 911 will get you both the police and an ambulance. DO NOT attempt to treat the injured person yourself unless you have training in first aid. DO NOT try and move an injured person unless they are in a life threatening situation. You may make the injury worse by moving the person.

EXCHANGE INFORMATION

Every driver is required to exchange their name and address and the name and identification number of their insurance company with the other driver. Ask to see the other driver's license, registration and insurance card. Copy down all information on the license including the driver's identification number on his license. When the police arrive find out the name, badge number and precinct of the police officer. You or your representative can get a copy of the police report at the precinct the next day.

MAKE NO STATEMENT

Except for exchanging the required information with the other driver, do not have any discussion with the other driver. Do not engage in arguments with the other driver. In the heat of the moment you may say something that is inaccurate which can be used against you in the future. Tell the police officer your version of the accident.

WITNESSES

Attempt to get the name, address and phone number of any witness to the accident.

MEDICAL TREATMENT

Get your injuries cared for immediately at the emergency hospital or at your personal physician's office. Tell the examining doctor every complaint and injury you have, no matter how minor you may think it is. A serious internal injury may not show immediately. Help your doctor help you. Here is a list of some hospitals in New York City.

NOTIFY YOUR INSURANCE

Whenever you are in an accident involving an injury or property damage; notify your insurance company. If you fail to notify your insurance company IMMEDIATELY after the accident, they have the right to refuse to cover the claim.
